Julia says: Surprise! Jordan's not the only one presumed dead and now found alive. I'm also alive and well! So as you probably gathered from the title, I'm in Waterdown visiting James. I flew in after my last exam on the 9th and will be heading back to WINTERPEG bright and early tomorrow morning (sniff, sniff, single tear) but I'm happy to have been able to visit for two whole weeks. And what a busy two weeks it's been. Just last night we were in Pickering staying at Pam's. It was so good to see her (she's as sweet as ever) and we had a great time playing games, decorating her Christmas tree, eating good food, shopping and catching up. James and I also painted his room (grassland green to be exact), hauled BAGS of garbage out of his room, went to Niagara Falls, saw Narnia...oh, and I'm no longer a blonde! You can see the new brunette in the pic up top.

James says: Well yes, I have a new darker haired girlfriend. To tell you the truth the new brown hair looks very good on her. So yes we were at Pam's house last night which was lots of fun, and I was blown away once again by her artistic abilities, especially her paintings. They are amazing!
Well, Christmas is here which means I am finally done working outside in the freezing cold and back to school in the new year. I think my brain may explode from too much math but we will have to wait and see about that. Merry Christmas and talk to you all later.

Jordan Culham is Alive!

haha, So Jordan Culham just left my house. He's been here on the mainland for about a week now. It was fun to see him again. He's probaly like a really cool person! lol-
Just so you all know he's still alive....although you wouldn't know it by his contributions to this blog :P He seemed to be doing really well, really involved in his church back home and some exciting things happening with his friends. Drop him an e-mail and remind him to blog, he told me he would!

Passed my Finals

just to let you know that i passed all of my finals and i think i passed all my classes. Praise the Lord! thats a huge burden lifted off of me. hope you guys are all enjoying your break, Merry Christmas.

Adding to the Prayer Requests....

ok so... as many of you know... my dad is sick and so being home is hard enough but... to top it off because his brain isn't really working we thinkwe have to take away his driver's license now! in his mind if it doesn't fit he has to make it fit, which is really really frustrating... and he ran into the back of my brother's truck last night and today clipped the back bumper of a car in a parking lot.. and it's going to be hard on him if he looses his license, and really hard on mom and me... some times I wonder if home is the right place for me because the extra frustration and stress cuz of Dad... I think with him alot of it is depression and perhaps a spiritual battle too... I can't tell, but if you could pray for his healing and some clarity of mind that would be great... I don't want to have to deal with him loosing his license...

More Prayer

And the prayer requests keep coming...what would we all do without this community?

Please pray for a friend of mine who just returned home for Christmas to find that her grandmother is really really sick, and probably won't be around for much longer. She really loves her grandmother, and is hurting quite a lot right now. Please pray that she'll feel supported and loved by her family and friends, and that when the time comes she'll feel ready to say goodbye. Also, we can pray that the family will still be able to find joy this Christmas, in whatever circumstances.

Prayer

Hey guys, well I would like so say that my plays are officially over! Praise God! They did have a few mishaps, such as two of our main guys coming in slightly intoxicated...but we managed somehow! Anyways, I am in need of a bit of prayer, actually more specifically my family is. My brother Nathan has mono! He's ok, just really tired all the time, but my mom thinks she's getting it. And that is not good at all! So if you all would be praying for the health of my family I would really appreciate it!

can i just say that i love BC. its so good to be back enough though i don't know exactly what it looks like because i flew in the dark. but i did wake up to the fraser valley and saw ski hills. can't wait to hit the slopes. anyways, hope you are all doing well!

Grand Island Idea

Okay...so I have a theory...and if it doesn't work I will cry. This is a Grand ISLAND Adventure theory...At the beginning of January I must go to the city of Vancouver to visit the extended family. In case you don't know...Vancouver is close to the ferry terminal, and the ferry terminal goes to...VICTORIA!!! And there are some glorious folk in Victoria. Soooooooo, is any beloved Victoria-ite free and feeling up for a Grand Adventure? Now I don't know exact dates...but that will come with time...I don't start school till the 9th...You guys probably start earlier though...Oh how I would dance and sing if this could work! Oh beautiful Island and glorious folk...okay, I will stop rambling on...let me know what you guys think!!!

PS I'm going home tomorrow! Yay and Merry Christmas all!

lets celebrate, i am done my final exams. they stressed me out but they didn't get the best of me. now i can go home and sleep and pack and leave for bc tomorrow evening. I AM DONE. I want to scream it out loud but i think i would look like a loser if i did that in the library computer lab, anyways...Have a Merry Christmas!

WOHO!

I just got back from an AMAZING WEEK in Banff/Calgary!

I first of all visited and stayed the night in Calgary with Sandra and Andrew Lawson, from camp this summer, we had a blast, they are amazing people, so much fun to be around and than the next day we went Skiing, I SUCKED ON THE FIRST DAY!!

Than I hung out the rest of the week with Michelle Earle and her fiance Mike! So much fun! Mike's a great guy, we had a lot of fun together, he's perfect for michelle. Oh I also hung out with both of their brothers, Michelle's-->Dave and Mike's--> Steve. We ate out every night fo supper, Banff is soooo expensive! Saw the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, I got to see Michelle in action beign a super small group leader to 2 cool girls in her church,,,,Skied a whole bunch..ohh and most important got to spend a lot of time looking @ her RING!

I Got a Job!

Well, it was rather complicated for a while, but the papers are signed, I have a nametag, and it's official: I have a job! (yes, another one)

This one's only for two weeks over Christmas Break. I get to get paid for playing with children! Hoorah! The job's at a rec centre, doing day camps while kids are out of school. I'm so excited, and it's even going to help me afford going to school! Yipee!!!

i just got a phone call from my mom saying that my oma is in the hospital. i don't know what is wrong but they drained a litre of liquid from her lungs, whatever that means. keep her in prayer and for my opa to that he can stay strong for her and my mom too. thanks guys, kristi

Ok, so its not that bad!

Hey guys, well I just had my first performance...and you know it didn't go too terribly. It actually went really well. Of course you have to discount the bad scripts and bad acting, but overall it went smoothly and everyone remembered their lines! So praise God! And as to what God is trying to teach me....I think he's trying to tell me to sit back and relax. To let him do his job, instead of me running everything...so things are good....for now!

thanks for praying for me this week, it hasn't gone that bad and now i only have 2 more exams to write and then i am done. praise the Lord! hope all is going well with you guys. i am heading back to bc on saturday night and there until january 3, if any of you are in the area, email me if you want to get together. me and dotto will be on the island for staff retreat and maybe a couple days before that. love to see you guys!

My life is over!

So to start off my second blog of the day ( Kelsey and Boyda you are not freaks...I think I check this thing more than my email! Wasn't it a good idea?) I would just like to say that I hate, absolutly loathe, despise and abominate my christmas play. None of you should come. Not even you britt....I'm not joking. It'll be a waste of your money. I don't care that i have spent my sweat, tears and blood on this thing it is not worth you guys spending $10 to come and see something that is so pitifully written. Don't come...I absolutly forbid you. It's cheesy, absolutly horribly written...I think my brother could write better plays....and they are just horrible. We aren't ready in the slightest...I don't know why Karla schedualed us for four performances....one would have been bad enough! But to have to make a fool of ourselves 4 times over is more than i can bear. If you absolutly must come, come on like Saturday night...because by that time we'll have had three other times ( of looking stupid) to actually get any good. But don't come either way. I'll never be able to look you in the eyeballs again! My life is over! GRRRRR! What on earth makes people think they can write? I don't get it....some people have an smidgen of talent in their blood....these playwrites had none. NONE!I SWEAR TO YOU! I get that they want to get a Christain Message across, but do they have to do with bad grammer, cheesy lines, and wacked out stage directions? Will some one please explain this to me? As a Christian I am absolutly ashamed! They could get the same message across, but in a way that would engage people and not put them to sleep! I am so exasperated....I could just spit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God what on earth are you trying to teach me through this? I could have taken dance, and been perfectly fine, but no, you had to put me here. In a class with bad attitudes, bad acting, and bad scripts.

The week of not niceness

Hey Guys
Thanks for praying on Friday for me. I think the exam went well, I will have to wait and see what I actually I get. So exciting news, I come back to BC in 6 days and the bad news is 5 of those days consist of writing 3 hour exams. Once again, could you be my prayer warriors for me? It is going to be an exhausting week of lots of studying, writing the exams and packing so that I can go home. Hope you guys are all doing well and thanks for keeping me in your prayers. Please pray for me as I am continuing to study and I have my most stressful exam tomorrow morning at 9AM (Sask Time, 7AM BC time). Could you guys keep me in your prayers tonight and tomorrow. My nerves are getting the best of me and all I want to do is cry and sleep and just give up but I can't because I need to pass so I don't have to take these classes again. Anyways, you guys know what to do

In the Christmass Mood again!

Ahhh.....atlast...I'm excited for Christmas!

Did any of you experience that few years of Christmass lull......you know when Christmas comes so soon and isn't as exciting as it was in past years.......Well that was my past few years of Christmass......but Now I'm excited again, And I discivered the TRCIK! Live Christmass thru Kids! hehehe Oh and Jesus Of course!

They are from my THRIVE Christmass party, It was a blast we decorated cookies (I made 150 litle gingerbread cookies, oout of the 7 batches I made only 1 burnt! a new record for me!) and played steal the present and one of my favorite grandma's in the church came and read us the "Crippled Lamb" a beautiful Max Lucado Christmass story! Ahh it was the perfect night. And I got given $100 to buy all the kids chhristmass presents! Ahhh! So much fun!



Our youth Room all decked out with a disco ball and christmass lights and what you can't see is the christmass tree drawn on the white boad! I improvised cuz I didn't have a real one, with all the kids presents under it!

Last Week of School

So I'm sitting here at my desk as one of my roommates is snoring like a cow on the couch (which is making me want to burst out and rip my shirt like a WWF wrestler and body slam him). It's the last week of classes, I have my last class tonight then it is on to exams. Oh the joys of exams.

I think I have realized that snoring is my pet peeve. Me wants to put duct tape on my roommates face. :) Yes the Holy Spirit gave me this revelation, it told me that it hates snoring as well.

Well I just recorded him snoring, if you would like to hear this wonderfully LOUD snor I can drop you an email if you want it. Not that anyone really would...I mean, it's disgusting....

Oh well I had to get this out somewhere or else I probably would body slam him!

I NEED INSPIRATION!!!

so i am calling on you guys to inspire me to STUDY!!! I don't want to sit down and study, its a good idea but I keep finding other things to do, like writing a blog. as you see, I need help!

So Tarchuk... what do you think... have I found a new "ideal length"?

Ah... here I am again.... I don't have any internet at the moment, that would be the main reason I haven't bothered to write anything for a long time.. I'm in edmonton for the moment, at Grace's apartment (from camp this summer) planning to run over to visit Ty and Nicole (Kaleo 2) right after i write this... so I'm home (except this week) visiting a doctor,and sleeping lots (when I am home that is..) and contemplating what's next... I really have no clue... perhaps comming out to visit... we'll see.. anyways, I thought I would send you guys some pic's of the christmas banquet and of my new haircut.. kinda drastically different but hey.. I thought it should pass Ashley's test...:) Anyways... take care til I find a place to write again

Miracle Spring Water!

Sooooooo we as bible college students seem to have a twisted sense of humor and we decided to contact Peter Popoff and get his miracle spring water. We contacted him for a miracle request of my friends financial situation. He is now supposed to fill up a cup of water to "create a miracle link" between him and God, then place it beside his bed and sleep. He will then have a complete financial turn around within weeks.........We shell find out what comes of this ;)

Ok, so I was lying in bed just 5 min. ago trying to get to sleep early so I can get us insanely earl tomorrow morning to go to worship team practice for church....(I'm playing guitar tomorrow....nervous) and this thought came to my mind

Inspired by my recent conversations with Julia Kristi and Jordan: here are my thoughts of the whole "Sesame Streat Posting thing"

There had been a lot (amby too much) of debating lately on the rough times that follow after Kaleo. So I thought if we talk about how hard it is after Kaleo than we shoudl also talk about how good it is after Kaleo. Julia and I bith agreed today that a lot of us are thriving and doing great! Look @ Michelle! She's getting married!

Guys were all doing GREAT! Do you believe it! Here's a little bit of Admonishment/Affirmation Examples for Ya'll, PLEASE CONTINUE TO POST MORE!

Kailyn- You seem to be doing great! Your learning every kind of soil and plant on the entire earth, you play guitar @ church, you have great room mates and a great boyfriend (hahah) You make me happy every time I TALK TO YOU--> Your a success!

Julia--> Your bussy, loving life, Your gradguating in APRIL CRAZZY! You are a shining example of Jesus to all your classmates and have found a great new church to be involved with and fed from! Your amazing girl!

Krisit--> Ahh.....Kristi, were friends now that we don't live together! I'm looking foreward to seeing you @ christmass! Your thriving @ school, crazzy math person. Tarchuk! Has a boyfriend (I promise to get thoes C.D.'s for him to you soon) Is soo dedicated to her youth group on friday nights, is Involved in church doing well at school, She's AMAZING! Let's hang out soon too

Britt was doing great! I talked to her every other week, she always had news of someon new she told about Jesus, she loved her new church. She was thriving!

Ok, so that's just about 1/2 of Kaleo, I'm getting really tired, but you get the point! I'm sure all of you would say that KALEO and life in general has helped you imensely get to where you are today. It's not just kaleo, it's not just church-IT'S JESUS ACTIVELY WORKING IN OUR LIVES! SOO STINKING COOL! Not that life is perfect or anything, But thoes hard times , there Life! I hope this blog encouraged you guys! Isn't if fun focusing on good stuff!

***********I was reminded today, that when I pray it's just as important to bring the good things happening in our lives to God, to praise him and thank him and stuff as it is to brin g the bad or hard stuff. How often when someone asks for prayer requests do our minds immediately go to how God can help us, or fix things that are wrong or that are hurting us. Thoes are all VALID prayer requests. But I really want my mind set to thinking when someone asks if I ahve any prayer requests "Well Id love it if you guys could all halp mne thank and praise God cuz He is just so faithful and has done this in my life!" We ask people to help us pray for problems, how about we also ask them to help us with PRAISE!!!*****************************

Take 2 secconds and post some admnishments or affirmations about someone! Come on! It'll be fun! Jesus is soo stinking awesome!!!!

WOOOOHOOOOO! I just got my new coffee maker today. It's the Starbucks Aroma Solo. COOOOOOFFFEEEEEE!!! :D Soooo good....Now I can go on living life to it's fullest! Look out world, I have my coffee and I'm wired for sound! *runs off in a jittery caffine high kind of way*
