Freedom...
Hey Kaleo
I just wanted to let you know how YQ '07 went this past weekend. First of all, it was the best YQ that I have ever been to and been apart of it. There was so much positive feedback from the changes that were made to YQ.
I experienced true freedom this past weekend. That was actually one of the main topic that was talked about in all the sessions and concerts over the weekend. Every guest who came this past weekend were all on the same page and wanted something more and deeper. This wasn't a surface weekend. It was about going deep and finding kids and students where they were with God and with their lives. God's freedom, love and grace were poured into the lives of the kids and I had the eyes to see it. I had many conversations with people about this weekend and just letting me know what we did at YQ '07 was something so amazing and something that needed to happen. The people who came to YQ were different than previous years - they all were looking for something more than what they had.
I was talking to Jimmy Needham and his wife, one of our guests, and I was interuppted by someone saying there was someone who wanted to talk to someone on the YQ team and I was truly blessed to be there at the right time. This was a youth leader who just wanted to let me know that her group that was here, of 8 people, re-pledged their life to Christ. That was something that God allowed me to see. People were open to God speaking in thier life.
There were so many stories that I have heard over the weekend that were truly God. I am so excited about all the seeds that were planted this weekend. I know that I won't see all the fruit out of this weekend, but thats ok.
There are so many stories from this past weekend, like Jordan C was out here for YQ even though he was here the previous weekend and Kaleo 1 - 4 were able to hang out, even though I didn't have the time to talk to everyone, but I was blessed that we could all be together. There were countless conversations that I had with people about this past weekend.
GOD was here this past weekend, pouring His love onto us and I can't help smile when I talk about it. God is so good.
So if you want to hear any other stories, just let me know and we can talk. I would love to share with you all more stories and how my life has been affected by it.
I love ya all and I will be thinking about all of you tomorrow.
Kristi

Hey Kristi! So cool! I have been hearing good things, and I hope to hear more when I pick up the K4 students and interns tonight from the 11:50 PM ferry (at 2:10 AM at Duke Point!). Actually Kaleo 1-5 was there - I just accepted Steve, Julia's brother, for this fall, and he told me all about YQ too. May God continue to meet with you at Caronport and may the result be of eternal significance to the Kingdom of God!
i was wondering when steve was going to be accepted...i got to talk to him quickly over the weekend
