I admonish you...
...TO POST!
Yes, yes, I'm a hypocrite. One of those people who regularly checks the Blog and once in a blue moon posts something myself. But Kristi inspired me (or maybe it's just cause I'm at home sick and procrastinating work) that I decided to post, and I hope a bunch of the rest of you will let us in on your lives too!
So where to begin?
In April I graduated from the two year Creative Communications program at Red River College. So it felt good to be finished that and have the rest of my life before me but after some job hunting I've decided to head back for two more years of school to get a Bachelors of Communication from the University of Winnipeg.
In May I began work at three CHUM radio stations here in Winnipeg. I love the job which includes throwing a huge backyard BBQ at a listeners house every Thursday night (which means I don't have to think about supper!) the chance to get on-air experience, and all the perks of free CD's, movie passes, and concert tickets! And for the guesthouse girls that appreciated the Dixie Chicks, I’ll think of you all on August 19th!
In June James moved to Winnipeg. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous as to how I would adjust to what seemed like a huge step forward in our relationship but it's actually been amazing! As soon as I gave up my fears and worries to God (which is something I have to do again and again) I could see God's faithfulness in our relationship and the incredible blessing James' friendship is.
And that brings us to the present...the beginning of Summer. I’m not really too sure what the next couple of months will bring but guaranteed it will include a few good sunburns!
I would love to hear from all of you in the Kaleo family, and for those of you who do post thank-you!
Kaitie, Kailyn, and Jordan – Let us know how camp is going! And Kaitie you’ve got the dream job in my opinion! Well actually you all kind of struck gold with the job descriptions. Minus maybe having to deal with rats Kailyn. You’re a tough girl!
Dotto – What’s this...you have time to post while you’re on vacation in New Zealand but not now that you’re back at home! Ah well...I appreciated your regular updates and stories and would love to hear about your summer thus far!
Pam – If you read this I’m praying for you and your team in Vietnam and can’t wait to see pictures and hear your stories once you’re back.
Amber – Winnipeg isn’t far and you’re always welcome! Love and prayers my dear. I’m proud of you for hanging in there!
Julie – Wow it’s been a while! It doesn’t feel that way though thanks to your blog. I hope you have an amazing summer back in Vancouver and you’ll have my prayers as you take on a lot of responsibility and tackle challenges I’m sure.
Kristi – Wow! More nieces/nephews on the way! Congrats! I’ve been lucky enough to keep my wisdom teeth in tact but I can definitely identify with your fear of needles. I’ll be thinking and praying for you this Friday. Keep us posted!
Bev/Ashley – What you ladies up to?
Michelle – You’re getting married! I guess I probably don’t need to tell you that though. Let me know if you’re still planning on celebrating in Banff so I can come!
Colin – Thanks for being so honest with us and shedding some light on the life of a tree planter. It sounds incredibly difficulty in all respects but admirable that you’re hanging in there and looking to God for strength. Praise God for people who can support you when the going gets tough! I’ll be praying for you and your family Colin. Hang in there and don’t give up!
Ty – Happy Birthday today!!! Hope you have a good one!
Jamie – I think you’re due for a visit to Manitoba! And if you need more persuading you should see the new skatepark that just opened at the Forks! It is INCREDIBLE! And you can bmx at it. They’re saying it’s #1 in Canada at the moment.
Jon – So you are moving?!?!
Dave/Jordan C./Andre/Aaron – All Missing In Action! Would love to hear from you guys!
And after all of that I’ll feel really bad if I forgot someone! If I did it wasn’t intentional (obviously) and I’ll blame it on my stuffed up head.
I miss you all! And contrary to popular belief Manitoba is a nice place to visit...you’re always welcome!
Love and prayers,
Julia

Julia you remembered my birthday! Thank you so much. You totally made my day. Oh gosh, it'd be good to see you Crackajack. Have a wonderful summer. You are in my prayers, sincerely Ty.
Ty - I'm sorry I didn't know it was your b-day! I'll wish you a happy belated birthday tomorrow...
Jules! It's so good to hear from you! I was just reminiscing today about visiting you last summer. Specifically about driving all the way from the bus station to your house with the heat blasting in thirty degree weather...
I miss you and we definitely need to talk soon. I'm working on getting myself a phone card (you'd think it would be easy, but apparently I just can't make it to the corner store), so you should email me the number of where you'll be this summer! I miss you!
