Kait's grand port mcneill adventure!
Hey all I just went to my good ol home town for my sisters grad and it was so much fun
If you are bored and want to know what i did this past weekend here it goes hehe. get comfy its looong
I was supposed to fly home in my family friends personal plane (his name is fraser) on saturday so I called fraser up on friday to find out when i needed to catch the shuttle to the airport on saturday morning. but he told me it would be much easier for him if he could pick me up that day in about an hour! so im totally panickin because I dont have a ride and a cab would be insanely expensive so I was calling all my friends wiht cars (all three of them!) and none of them were home, I called Ashley but she doesnt have her car here she has her super cool skate board. so she told me to get a ride with martin just call him out of the blue and ask him...I dont really know martin that well I have met him a whole 3 times
I was like NO WAY i cant just call this guy I barely know and ask him to drive me to the airport! but at that point I was desparate so I called him, he was super nice about it and he came in like 10 minutes and we had a great time we chatted like ol buddies he is really funny. so he even waited at the airport for fraser to come in his plane wich took about half an hour so I was so grateful to him and I owe him big time. so I got in the plane and it was a beautiful evenign for a flight we had a smooth take off and a beautiful landing practically flawless and it only took 30 minutes to fly from victoria to maple ridge. so that was neat then we went to frasers apartment downtown new west by the new westminster quay it was soo high we were on the 17th floor! yikes and we had nachos and then I went to bed I was so tired from that super crazy day
then at about 7 in the morning mike (frasers son) came in to my room and shook me awake it was so funny and we got all ready and headed for the airport. in the plane we had to wear these neat headphone things that drown out the engine noise and let you communicate with the passengers through a microphone. The headsets can hook up to your cell phone and you cd player and you can listen to tunes and make calls it was so rad. except I had to talk soo loud so that the microphones would actually pick up my puny litte voice apparently my voice doesnt register too well with microphones haha. I took soo many pictures and I got a picture of my house in mcneill I hope it turned out. when we were about 45 minutes in to the trip mike had to pee so we got to land on this little airstrip on texada island it was so neat I love landing and taking off its the coolest feeling, the whole trip home took about 2 hours and my dad picked us up from the airport.
when I came home jill was getting her hair done and there were about 14 people at my house it was so funny we were all taking pictures if you want to see a second by second history of that day just look at my grans pictures because she took about a million hehe. I will try and post some later
Jillian looked so pretty and she won 4 scholarships and a laptop! her aftergrad was really fun too, several of my friends plus mike and my cousin were there so we went to it for a bit. we got to play laser tag and get tattoos and generally pretend that we were grade 12s it was so funny you totally missed me rocking out on the dance floor to Kelly Clarkson! my cousin and friend were dying on the floor laughing at me mocking the since u been gone music video.
we went home about 1 in the morning and I stayed up late rummaging through boxes in the crawl space looking for stuff that I for Victoria so I was sooo tired the next morning when I had to get up at 7:30!! Fraser wanted to beat the crappy weather that was moving in so we had to go early so the whole weekend was just gone in a blink but it was so great. I got to eat crispy cremes YUM
wow that was a long speal sorry if it was boring hehe. I just had such a cool weekend and I wanted to share the joy I cant wait to show you the pictures from the plane. the first evening that i was flying there was such a beautiful sunset in the sky and I could believe it. God is so great he created such a beutiful world I felt so lucky to be in it. OH and I flew over camp qwanoes the one and only! it looked so neat from the air.
well I have to go but I am prayin for all of you and I hope you have a great week. You all need to come by and visit me
