Poor Amelio Oink
Amelio Oink is the name of my roommates' beta fish...Amelio because he cant be francesco or juicy fruit mambo or maria because those are all jinxed names (the names of our previous fishes that died!) and Oink because he has a snout like mouth hahah.
but poor amelio has been with us for about a week or so and he hasnt been eating...he came home a brilliant light blue and red color and now he is a dull blue red its so sad he has been fighting with his food. i think he is anorexic or bulimic..he went to eat this morning and he spat out his food. I think his days are numbered. but it will be so sad if he goes he has such spunk! and then we will be accused of killing our fish off when all we do is care for them sniff sniff
so I figure if he dies he shall live on in all our memories he will be on our site so this is his tribute..I shall keep ya'll updated on his health

Fact: Fish stores DYE their fish, yes that is right, if your fish was bright blue and now isn't, he was probably only bright blue due to chemicals, thoes same chemicals that they use to dye the fish also make them sock and mch much more likely to DIE! Yes yes this is the sad truth! And it's totaly true...........I saw it on the TV show the shopping bags!

its true, i saw the same thing. and dotto your skin does pink but with a little green tinge in it. you should get that checked out...:)
aw, i hope your fish is alright! we have a beta - he's red. his name is Gaorg (however you spell it...you know, the captain from sound of music). he's not a picky eater. i know someone who knows everything about fish. he says that betas can be very particular about their food and sometimes wont eat flake food. so there is special food you can feed him...except i dont know what it is and it might be grubs or something...well i'll pray for Amelio Oink. that is a very distinguished name.
Can you really pray for a fish? haha

They didnt dye amelio..he was briliant on his own hehe
but I think that he is a picky eater I should try to get him different food. he's getting so undernourished lately

Mabye your fish isn't dyed kaity but fish do get dyed! It's the horrible underworld of fish farming!

Not me, I kinda find pets a little pointless. ut someone should! hahah
haha that is funny. i think some people love their fish a bit too much...i mean - i love my fish, Anaxamander...but I don't love him like those people love their fish, and Max is way better looking than all those other fish (b/c looks are everything...)
oh man things are not looking too good for dear amelio. Im so sad I looked on a beta care site and odds are against him. I learned i could put him to sleep w/ clove oil but thats pretty much the most sad thing i have ever heard.
I hope he eats sniff sniff or its the ceremonial flush
